Heroes is a 7-week series about seven incredible heroes in the Bible. Kids will make their way through the historical books and learn about some of the greatest Old Testament heroes: Joshua, Deborah, Jael, Ruth, Samuel, Elijah, Elisha, and Nehemiah.

Week 3:

  • Hero – Ruth

  • Bible Story – Ruth Refuses to Leave (Ruth 1:1-18)

  • Today’s Takeaway – When I am faithful, God is faithful to me. 

  • Weekly Verse – “Wherever you go, I will go; wherever you live, I will live. Your people will be my people, and your God will be my God.” (Ruth 1:16b NLT)

Week 4:

  • Hero – Samuel

  • Bible Story – Samuel Hears from God (1 Samuel 3:1-21)

  • Today’s Takeaway – When I listen, God will speak to me.

  • Weekly Verse – “My sheep listen to My voice; I know them, and they follow Me.” (John 10:27 NLT)

Week 5:

  • Hero – Elijah

  • Bible Story – Elijah and God vs. 450 Prophets (1 Kings 18:1-39)

  • Today’s Takeaway – When I trust God, He shows up.

  • Weekly Verse – “And this hope will not lead to disappointment. For we know how dearly God loves us, because he has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with His love.” (Romans 5:5 NLT)

Week 6:
